cape cod fly fishing

Thinking about entering the world of saltwater fly fishing?  Cape Cod is a great place to learn and dive into saltwater fly fishing, chasing striped bass and bluefish.  It has long been a vacation destination for friends and families.  Lighthouses, beaches, museums, shops, fine dining, and whale watches are a few of the draws to the cape.  Fly fishing is another.  From May to October, stripers and bluefish populate the waters close to shore and provide wading fly anglers opportunities for battle and fun.

Most fish caught are in the "schoolie" size category of 15"-30", but the opportunity to battle fish over 30" is a possibility.

how it works

  • If you've already booked a trip to Cape Cod and have a place to stay, you've already done most of the work!  All you need to do is contact me about the fishy details.

  • Want to know more before booking/making a trip?  Please contact me.  I'm happy to discuss a plan.

  • When looking for places to stay, there are hundreds of hotel options throughout the towns and range from inexpensive to extremely expensive.  Another great option, and my personal favorite, is a house rental.  Any of the major vacation home rental sites (airbnb) are great places to start your search.

  • Cape Cod is a big place.  If you already have an area you and your family are visiting, great!  If you are looking for suggestions on where to stay based on where we might fish, please contact me.  The fishing and tides vary around the cape, and while we do frequently move from spot to spot, certain areas may be more convenient than others.  Any of lower cape towns from Falmouth to Chatham are good places to begin your search.
