July 2nd, 2026 - Happy Independence Day! It's hot! And I don't mean the trout fishing. With extreme heat in Central New York, I am off the streams this week, until water temperatures come back down some. The trout need a break. My hard cut off with water temperatures is 68 degrees in order to keep trout safe. I will postpone trips anytime the water temperatures reaches 68 degrees.
